Please buy this for your kid.

I don't care who you are.

I don't care where you live.

I don't care that your daughter is 15 years old, no longer plays imaginary games, and is perfectly capable of using a grown-up oven all by herself.

BUY THIS FOR YOUR KID.

Please.  Do it for me.

Do it because I do not yet have little terrors bundles of joy to call my own.

Do it because if I were still a little girl, I would want it with all my heart and would cry and whine and beg until I got my way sweetly tell my mother that I would throw a tantrum if she didn't get it love her ever so much if she got it for me for Christmas.

Do it because I cannot justify buying it for myself (a grown adult) even though I'd probably just say something like, "It's OK, dear, I'm just buying it for the little girl we'll have down the road" (thereby jinxing us to have 3 insane monkeys darling little boys and not a girl in sight).

Do it because, well, it's just the right thing to do.

Either that, or buy me a pony.

Your call.

  3. Oh. My. Word.

I wish I had a little girl so I could by her this. Do you think I could get away with buying it for my little boy? Don't think my husband would be impressed...

    Stopping by from SITS!

  5. Oh don't I wish I could justify that little treat over here. No way Hubby would go for it. I already talked him into a kitchen a couple of years ago and he only went for it because it had a BBQ attached. This year #3 is getting new dishes, but they are nondescript MANLY looking dishes of course. And, don't jinx yourself. I bought one little pair of shoes before we knew what #1 was and look how I wound up! 3 small humans later and still no girls. It happens!

  6. Readers with little girls should look into this. My son loves helping with cooking, but is really into cars and blocks.

    Happy SITS Tuesday!

  8. As you know I said some not-so-nice things to Santa this year, do you think he holds grudges? Probably, hey. Sigh...I guess I'm not going to be the proud recipient of that SWEEEEET kitchen set. Maybe next year if Santa and I can hug it out.

  17. That's adorable! But a little boy could totally use it too! My mom says my brother loved our toy kitchen set better than I did. I'm going to get a kitchen set for my son, too. I mean, maybe he'll grow up to be a chef and what woman doesn't love a guy who can cook?!

  19. Too cute! I really hope Zoe likes to bake when she is older. I have already caught her in the kitchen pretending to stir things in bowls - too cute!

  20. That really is the most beautiful little play-food set I've seen. I love that there are still toys that are made from wood and are made with care and creativity. This year, we put together a whole baking kit for our youngest daughter. It included a real chef's coat, pants and hat, her own measuring spoons, cups, pans, silpat, cookbook, bowls, etc... She's been baking up a storm. It's wonderful to have toys, like the one you recommended, to inspire children to take up the culinary arts!
